Choco-Banana Protein Shake!

Hey everyone!!

I thought I would come on here, and share a personal favorite shake recipe of mine! I have this quite often for my lunch because it is so full of antioxidants, protein, and yummy ingredients!! (It tastes like a brownie in a drink) 🙂

I think it’s vitally important to look after your body, because after all, God gave it to you! He created you, and you were made in His image!!

It says in 1 Corinthians 6:19: Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

Because our body is a temple, in which the Holy Spirit lives, we should want to fill our bodies with clean and delicious things!! I see it as being respectful to God!! He created my body, so I want to respect His creation by filling my body with things that are beneficial and healthy!!

1 Corinthians 10:31-So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

It’s like the analogy of the car, which you have probably heard before. If you fill a car with the wrong petrol or gas, it’s not going to work! it’s going to burn out eventually! But if you fill your car with the right gas, it will run healthily and fast!!!

It’s just like our bodies! If we fill our bodies with healthy and clean foods, we will run better and not burn out! But if we fill our bodies with junk and tons of processed foods, we will become tired and eventually burn out!

Like in my last blog post, I said that it’s NEVER too late to change! This is so true!! Each day is a new day! God gives us a chance to change every day!! Why not take advantage of that this year, and change your diet for the better?

Phillipians 4:13-I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Ecclesiastes 3:1- There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. 

CHOCOLATE BANANA PROTEIN SHAKE: RECIPE: 

INGREDIENTS: 

  1. 1\2 a Banana OR a full Banana.

  2. Almond Milk OR your choice of milk/dairy free milk.

  3. Chia Seeds ( a pinch)

  4. Hemp Protein ( a teaspoon)

  5. Rainbow Chocolate Protein Powder OR your choice of protein powder ( a spoonful. this protein powder comes with a measure scooper)

  6. extra: raw cacao energy mix. You can buy it here: ( a teaspoon)

Add all of these ingredients into your blender, and mix together! Add chia seeds on top to finish and pour into your fave glass! 🙂

Honestly, you won’t be disappointed with this drink! It’s healthy, and it tastes like a brownie in a cup!

Benefits of drinking this include:

  1.  The chia seeds include omega 3 fatty acids, which your body needs.

  2. Hemp protein is an important source of amino acids for your body.

  3. Bananas contain vitamin B9 which is a nutrient that helps fight depression and keeps you happy!

  4. Almond milk is full of healthy fats, fiber, protein, magnesium, and vitamin E. It also helps lower your blood sugar levels.

  5. The rainbow chocolate protein powder contains tons of greens like kale, spinach, and the main ingredient of spirulina which is known to prevent cancer, boost your energy, and lowers your cholesterol.
