Hold God’s hand.

So recently on my trip to Redding, I picked up the “Jesus Calling” devotion, and I have been loving it. God is speaking through this book so much.
Today, the devotion was about holding God’s hand. I liked this a lot.
It basically said that we should walk with Jesus through our day. We should always be on the look out for things he has prepared for us. For instance, the sunset, beautiful flowers, a place of rest/ secret place where you can spend time with the father, and many more things. I don’t know about you, but I always want to be in wonder at God’s creation. I always take like half an hour to stare at the sunset because it’s just so beautiful, and God is such a great artist. People have been asking me what some of my best moments at Worship U were, and one that sticks out is when our “Revival group” or life group met up at this park in the evening and we played volleyball together, but then the most stunning sunset formed in the sky. I was in wonder and I just had to go and spend time with the Father and tell him how beautiful it was, and how beautiful HE is. I always want to be this way because God is so worthy. This is what the sunset looked like:

I want my heart to always be drawn to Jesus and to always notice his beauty.
Another thing this wonderful devotion said was that God is our guide and our constant companion. – I like the way they explained this.
God knows every step of the journey ahead of us, all the way to heaven. So, staying close to him and his presence means staying on course to his plan because he is “The Way.”
So all we need to do is spend time with God. Put your trust in him, and just stay close to him. Then we don’t need to worry about our future, where we are going, what we are going to do, if we’re going to be successful, who we are going to marry etc because HE IS THE WAY. Focus your thoughts on him. Don’t worry about the next hurdle and just enjoy Gods presence. How great it that? God is so kind to us. I feel like as humans we get so worked up about figuring out what we are going to do with our future when we just need to be still and know who God is. He is the creator, the planner of your future, your comfort. It’s simple. We just need to love God, and trust in him.
I love just having little Bible studies by myself in the secret place. Just doodling what comes to mind by the Holy Spirit, and reading Gods word. It’s so good to be with God and it always brings me a sense of peace and joy. I also love cuddling my cat sparkles 🙂
Colossians 4:2- Pray diligently. Stay alert, with your eyes wide open in gratitude.
Thanks for reading.
